An Affair of Words - tells a story of a very popular - fictional - writer.

Weathered Wood and Stone - is a story of life.
A new genre has begun to surface. Twitter Fiction. Twitter fiction would be stories up to 140 characters. Some people would refer to this as flash fiction, but it's not. It's shorter. Much shorter. The idea of short 140 characters or less stories intrigued me. Each contribution or in my case, chapter - has to tell a story all by itself. At least that was the test I put to it. It sounds easy, but - well, I will let you decide. The objective is to write a novel using as many chapters as you need, but each chapter in less then 140 characters. Will this be a popular genre you ask? It already is.
Think of the last time you read something online. Did you read the entire story or article? Typically, no. You read the first paragraph and got the gist of the rest of the document. That is assuming the author gave you the story in the first chapter. Conventional writers don't do this. They let a story build to a suspenseful peak and then taper off. On the internet, the average reader never gets to the point of the chapter. A Twitter story therefore, caters to this type of reading.
